Art is Art buddy, it's whatever you want it to be.
There's no such thing as what is and isn't "proper art"....do what you like guys!! draw your things!! draw what makes you happy!!
Drawing comics always make me happy!! :D
Also if you're a dude who tells artists what they should or shouldnt, can or can't draw....stop that yo, let artists do what they want. Don't like their art? then make your own son.

I get the cartharsis here, but it's just a criticism, and a mild one at that; and I disagree. To say there's no such thing as "proper art" is to deny basic objectivism in learning any skill, like following your own rules: if you tried to draw a shitzu and you drew an apache helicopter, objectively, you failed to make a realistic depiction of a shitzu.

They can say whatever they want, who cares? As for telling someone they can or can't draw, why! Why on earth would that necessarily be a bad thing? Some people are wasting their time, and isn't it better to know than be the victim of everyone's "kindness" who was too scared or lazy to be the "bad guy" and say the truth? Some people are hopelessly mediocre as artists, but that's based on their art form and that art form's rules. If they want to portray (accurately) the human anatomy, then of course an artist has to adhere to basic human anatomy (at least!); but if they want to make cartoons, which're inherently exaggerated interpretations of existing people, objects and animals, then rules matter somewhat less. I don't think people should stop giving criticism, or simply saying what someone can or can't, or should or shouldn't draw; because someone's words ultimately don't effect what someone else draws.
